Nora Sherman

undefined Nora Sherman is the Deputy Director of the Building Performance Lab.  Through the Lab's Intern Energy Program, she places CUNY students in internships working on trail-blazing building performance initiatives that give them a foundation for a career in the green building sector.  She assists Michael Bobker, Lab Director, in communications, program planning, and industry and community outreach.  She organizes semi-annual meetings of the Building Performance Stakeholder Consortium, and she's leading the team that's creating the NYC Building Performance Website, a joint project of the Lab and the Newman Real Estate Institute that is funded by the EPA Region 2.  Finally, she's the faculty adviser of the CUNY Urban Agriculture Study Group.

Nora joined the Lab in March, 2007, after completing writing, editing, and production work for the Progressive Technology Project's Voter TechKit. She has also worked in nonprofit communications for Common Ground Collective, a community-based Hurricane Katrina relief organization in New Orleans.

She received a B.A. in English from Tulane University and a M.A. in Anglo-Irish Literature from Trinity College Dublin. Nora's dedication to climate change issues, particularly green jobs, runs deep. She blogs about sustainability issues at 2050AD.org.
